AKU2 ROM For K-Jam Released?

Some diligent members at XDA Developers have noticed a new English and Arabic ROM for the K-Jam, and are reporting that it includes AKU2, which should have MSFP. That means if you have Exchange 2003 SP2, you can get the new direct push email notifications. I haven't downloaded it yet to see what is included though. Download speeds are reported to be very slow.

Any more news on this? Getting the Cingular 8125 shortly and would love to have the ability to use this feature without needing SMS. I realize that's a completely different update, but maybe there will be an update from Cingular coming soon to support it.

Thanks.

All the major US carriers, Cingular included, have committed to providing AKU2/MSFP for their Wm5 devices. Hopefully it is just a matter of waiting.

This question pops up every once in a while. It is a legal thing preventing you from doing it because a corporation in Dubai, for example, got paid a license fee for that Arabic version. Yes, it is Microsoft Dubai (or whatever entity gets Arabic ROM license fees), but they claim it as income and pay taxes on it, etc. If you changed to English, then Microsoft US would't pay taxes on that since they have no record of that purchase under any English speaking company - MS US, MS CA, MS UK, etc. Then the lawyers get involved, blah blah blah.

That being said, it is technically possible and you might be able to google for it - I don't know how to because it never interested me - but there you have it, the reason why language switching instructions don't exist on any OEM site.
